After 9 played minutes Philippeville got a freekick which was hit by William Gobelijns. The supporters of Philippeville booed when KSK Koewacht was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dante Kloots didn't get a good kick on the ball. KSK Koewacht's Christoff Libreghts proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save KSK Koewacht from getting a goal against them. Cornelis De Middeleer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 19 minutes, Brend Engelboorgs mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the KSK Koewacht and the Philippeville players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 19th minute, Brend Engelboorgs hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Philippeville's Dany Van De Wijngaert played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brend Engelboorgs in the 22nd minute of play. Diederiek Landewijck hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Brend Engelboorgs's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dany Van De Wijngaert read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. Cornelis De Middeleer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dany Van De Wijngaert having to interfere. William Gobelijns succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 36th playminute. After having played for 40 minutes, Robrecht Boegaert managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Philippeville's supporters crossed their fingers, but Robrecht Boegaert was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Robrecht Boegaert came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Philippeville fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Robrecht Boegaert couldn't finish the play. Martial Audenaert hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

If William Gobelijns had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Christofere Wauters sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Christofere Wauters recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Diederiek Landewijck fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Philippeville's protests and gave Diederiek Landewijck a yellow card for diving instead. After 64 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Philippeville! Dany Van De Wijngaert went to the wrong direction when Daevy Meersman was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Tim Koninkx recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 70th match minute, KSK Koewacht was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Laurenz Goorts to maneuver through the defense. Christoff Libreghts stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Christofere Wauters's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. William Gobelijns fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christoff Libreghts having to interfere. In the 84th minute Tim Koninkx shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christoff Libreghts saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Christofere Wauters sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 89th minute William Gobelijns shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christoff Libreghts saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Philippeville had played much better football throughout.
