Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Arnout Van Herck kicked off to start the match. Ruben Van Cauwenberg acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 3rd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Leopold Van der Willeghem. In the 5th minute, Ief Lombaert got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 10 minutes into the game, one of Maalbroek:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnout Van Herck in the 19th minute of play forced Bruges fc's goalkeeper Olivier Tobbackers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ief Lombaert sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A collision led to Maalbroek getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Christian Algoedt hit a great ball. Antoine De nuijter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Maalbroek's Ruben Van Cauwenberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Laurend Schol in the 32nd minute of play. If Ief Lombaert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Antoine De nuijter in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ruben Van Cauwenberg saved Maalbroek from getting behind. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Antoine De nuijter stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Luka Wouters received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Olivier Tobbackers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 65 minutes, Ief Lombaert managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bruges fc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ief Lombaert was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Maxime Schol charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Maxime Schol the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Maxime Schol hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. In the 69th minute of the match Laurend Schol sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ruben Van Cauwenberg skillfully saved the ball. In the 71st minute, Jan Bouman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 74 minutes into the match, Maalbroek's goal looked a bit too open when Jan Bouman came free, but Ruben Van Cauwenberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Davy Vissenaekers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ief Lombaert fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruben Van Cauwenberg having to interfere. Luk Van de Loock sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
