When Silvain Van Den Bosche fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored KSV Vaucelles's protests and gave Silvain Van Den Bosche a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to KSV Vaucelles getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Silvain Van Den Bosche hit a great ball. 12 minutes into the match, Wavreille's goalkeeper Philippe-Arnaud Bernage had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rein De Graef. Silvain Van Den Bosche might have been able to make a better finish in the 13th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Philippe-Arnaud Bernage. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Silvain Van Den Bosche ran back to his position shaking his head. Wavreille's Philippe-Arnaud Bernage played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silvain Van Den Bosche in the 21st minute of play. Silvain Van Den Bosche was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 24th minute. KSV Vaucelles's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Rein De Graef in the 45thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Philippe-Arnaud Bernage, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Silvain Van Den Bosche to strike the kick off in the second half.
