Maurus Tilemans came out of the goal and Jorne Meulemans tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Maurus Tilemans took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paul-Louis Gobbelijns, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. VC Ganshoren's Jasper Elsens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ward Van Haeght in the 17th minute of play. Ward Van Haeght ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ward Van Haeght got free with Jasper Elsens in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

52 minutes into the game, Mitch Maeijnaerts was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. VC Ganshoren's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave rsc Vilvo the free kick. In the 52nd match minute, VC Ganshoren was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mitch Maeijnaerts to maneuver through the defense. After 54 minutes of play, rsc Vilvo's Ward Van Haeght made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jasper Elsens was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Ward Van Haeght in the 64th minute of play forced VC Ganshoren's goalkeeper Jasper Elsens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 65th minute, Ward Van Haeght left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The rsc Vilvo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. Marek Buczko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jasper Elsens having to interfere. Jasper Elsens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ward Van Haeght in the 87th minute of the match. Ward Van Haeght scored 7-0 in the 89th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jasper Elsens, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. rsc Vilvo fully deserved thier win.
