Timmy Moons made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jules Huijsmans in the 3rd minute. Jules Huijsmans charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jules Huijsmans the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Xander Van Gorp might have been able to make a better finish in the 18th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Timmy Moons. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Xander Van Gorp ran back to his position shaking his head. MESUDIYEFT's Axel Van Cleijnenbreughel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dante Wijnrijx in the 21st minute of play. A collision led to MESUDIYEFT getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Victor Verhaert hit a great ball. 23 minutes into the match, MESUDIYEFT's goal looked a bit too open when Dante Wijnrijx came free, but Axel Van Cleijnenbreughel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jacob Ablij sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Xander Van Gorp in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Timmy Moons prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Timmy Moons stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Xander Van Gorp's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. After a rather tough play, Wilskerke's Ramon Blocks got a free kick in the 45th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Xander Van Gorp was the one to do the kick off. Timmy Moons made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jules Huijsmans in the 56th minute of play. When Xander Van Gorp came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the MESUDIYEFT fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Xander Van Gorp couldn't finish the play. Jules Huijsmans sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tommie Bautmans hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Jacob Ablij fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Axel Van Cleijnenbreughel having to interfere. When Jules Huijsmans came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the MESUDIYEFT fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jules Huijsmans couldn't finish the play. In the 76th minute, Xander Van Gorp got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When MESUDIYEFT's Jules Huijsmans in the 81st minute got a chance for a shot 81st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Wilskerke would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
