Aartselaar 's Philipp De Hont proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save Aartselaar from getting a goal against them. DF De Haerne Club's Jerry Van den Berge got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jerry Van den Berge fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Philipp De Hont having to interfere. Aartselaar 's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Yanis Verdonk 8 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. If Yanis Verdonk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 24 minutes into the match, Quillian Nys notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of DF De Haerne Club's Gust Van Hinnendael. Gust Van Hinnendael was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Yanis Verdonk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Philipp De Hont tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Aartselaar getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Ernst De Swert hit a great ball.

The supporters of DF De Haerne Club booed when Aartselaar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Quillian Nys didn't get a good kick on the ball. When DF De Haerne Club's Yanis Verdonk in the 52nd minute got a chance for a shot 52nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Aartselaar 's goalie prevented a goal. If Jacq Van Meensel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 57th minute Arthur-Maurits Slabbaert shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gust Van Hinnendael saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gust Van Hinnendael took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arthur-Maurits Slabbaert, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 60th minute, Yanis Verdonk ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Philipp De Hont was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. A collision led to DF De Haerne Club getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Angelo Van Glabeeke hit a great ball. Yanis Verdonk took the ball and in the 75 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Philipp De Hont. Philipp De Hont dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. After a defensive mix-up in Aartselaar 's zone, Jerry Van den Berge stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Philipp De Hont came out of the goal and Jerry Van den Berge tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gust Van Hinnendael didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 87th minute, which inside left pole to 3-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arthur-Maurits Slabbaert in the 91st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gust Van Hinnendael prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in DF De Haerne Club's zone, Jacq Van Meensel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gust Van Hinnendael came out of the goal and Jacq Van Meensel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Aartselaar players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for DF De Haerne Club.
