The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When the match clock showed 5 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Guillaume Van Gorpt sped through Aartselaar 's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Philipp De Hont. Wayne Van Meerbeec kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in sacriPanti FC's zone, Arthur-Maurits Slabbaert stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kasper De Mol came out of the goal and Arthur-Maurits Slabbaert tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Guillaume Van Gorpt managed to get in a good position for a shot. sacriPanti FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Guillaume Van Gorpt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Philipp De Hont breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 17th minute Joerie Francx shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Philipp De Hont saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Arthur-Maurits Slabbaert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 26 minutes, Joerie Francx managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. sacriPanti FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joerie Francx was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match had gone on for 31 minutes, Joerie Francx took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Philipp De Hont to make any attempt to save it. In the 35th minute, Guillaume Van Gorpt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Aartselaar 's Philipp De Hont proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Aartselaar from getting a goal against them. Jacq Van Meensel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kasper De Mol having to interfere. sacriPanti FC's Kasper De Mol played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arthur-Maurits Slabbaert in the 41st minute of play. When Quillian Nys fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Aartselaar 's protests and gave Quillian Nys a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Aartselaar 's Quillian Nys got a free kick in the 42nd minute. 43 minutes into the game, Joerie Francx recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Philipp De Hont. Joerie Francx showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joerie Francx to make the kick off. Jorg Anteunis hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Aartselaar 's Jacq Van Meensel got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Philipp De Hont took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joerie Francx, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Albertus Jaspers's late challenge caught a Aartselaar 's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Albertus Jaspers helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Aartselaar booed when sacriPanti FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Albertus Jaspers didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in sacriPanti FC's zone, Jacq Van Meensel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kasper De Mol came out of the goal and Jacq Van Meensel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With his leg Kasper De Mol managed to avoid a goal in the 75thth minute, when Aartselaar 's Jacq Van Meensel fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When Guillaume Van Gorpt came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the sacriPanti FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Guillaume Van Gorpt couldn't finish the play. 78 minutes into the match, Aartselaar 's goal looked a bit too open when Joerie Francx came free, but Philipp De Hont reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Philipp De Hont stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Joerie Francx's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. 86 minutes into the match, sacriPanti FC's goalkeeper Kasper De Mol had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jacq Van Meensel. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind sacriPanti FC's goalkeeper Kasper De Mol, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Guillaume Van Gorpt came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the sacriPanti FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Guillaume Van Gorpt couldn't finish the play. Aartselaar 's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
