A collision led to sacriPanti FC getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Jarne Louckx hit a great ball. When Oliver Suteweij came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the vg-boys fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Oliver Suteweij couldn't finish the play. Kobe Baekelandt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guillaume Van Gorpt in the 16th minute of the match. After some careless play in the vg-boys defense, Joerie Francx kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kobe Baekelandt. The vg-boys fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kobe Baekelandt should have stopped the shot. Kobe Baekelandt stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Guillaume Van Gorpt's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. sacriPanti FC's Joerie Francx got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Debruyn in the 29th minute of play forced sacriPanti FC's goalkeeper Kasper De Mol to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in vg-boys's zone, Guillaume Van Gorpt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kobe Baekelandt came out of the goal and Guillaume Van Gorpt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 34 minutes into the game, Joerie Francx cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Kobe Baekelandt was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Kobe Baekelandt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joerie Francx, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Guillaume Van Gorpt in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kobe Baekelandt saved vg-boys from getting behind. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tomas Debruyn to strike the kick off in the second half. Guillaume Van Gorpt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Guillaume Van Gorpt got free with Kobe Baekelandt in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 71st minute, Oliver Suteweij had to leave the field with a concussion.
