The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpected shot in the 11th minute by Guillaume Van Gorpt got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joerie Francx in the 15th minute of play forced De Dinosaur Boys's goalkeeper Kristof Salms to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 16 minutes into the match, sacriPanti FC's Guillaume Van Gorpt sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kristof Salms narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Kristof Salms took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joerie Francx, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Oswald Vlimmens managed to get in a good position for a shot. De Dinosaur Boys's supporters rose to their feet, but Oswald Vlimmens was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kasper De Mol breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 24 minutes into the game, sacriPanti FC's Guillaume Van Gorpt nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kristof Salms made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. With an all-out effort, sacriPanti FC's Kristof Salms threw himself towards the right post 27 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Joerie Francx, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 30 minutes into the match, De Dinosaur Boys's goalkeeper Kristof Salms had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Guillaume Van Gorpt. In the 34th minute, Staf Omblet ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kasper De Mol was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Joerie Francx fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kristof Salms having to interfere. A hard shot 42 in the game by Guillaume Van Gorpt from a close distance when the talented Kristof Salms managed to make a qualified save. De Dinosaur Boys's players were relieved. The audience thought a goal was coming when Guillaume Van Gorpt got free with Kristof Salms in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Guillaume Van Gorpt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Kristof Salms tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Joerie Francx fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kristof Salms having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Guy Ghesels hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Kristof Salms showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guillaume Van Gorpt, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. De Dinosaur Boys's Kristof Salms played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guillaume Van Gorpt in the 54th minute of play. Oswald Vlimmens recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kasper De Mol showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Staf Omblet, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. When Guillaume Van Gorpt came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the sacriPanti FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Guillaume Van Gorpt couldn't finish the play. In the 67th minute, Guillaume Van Gorpt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Guy Ghesels sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 76th minute, Jorg Anteunis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Staf Omblet managed to get in a good position for a shot. De Dinosaur Boys's supporters rose to their feet, but Staf Omblet was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kasper De Mol breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Joerie Francx succeeded in the game's 81st minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-1. Guillaume Van Gorpt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Kristof Salms tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Staf Omblet in the 96th minute of play forced sacriPanti FC's goalkeeper Kasper De Mol to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. De Dinosaur Boys's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
