Stijn Bourguignon's late challenge caught a Club Laakdal's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Stijn Bourguignon helped the player get up and apologised. After 16 played minutes Arrakis got a freekick which was hit by Stijn Bourguignon. Tjorven Vercasteren took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 17th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Thomas Van de Gaer. Arrakis's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Constantijn Gendre during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Constantijn Gendre kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. The supporters of Club Laakdal booed when Arrakis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Johnny Bossuyt didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thomas Van de Gaer was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Tjorven Vercasteren. Thommy den Ronden showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Constantijn Gendre in the 22nd minute of the match. Arrakis's Thomas Van de Gaer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Siebe Decaluwe in the 23rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnoud Uyttebroeck in the 26th minute of play forced Club Laakdal's goalkeeper Thommy den Ronden to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Arrakis booed when Club Laakdal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Karl Rockeloos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Constantijn Gendre took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Thommy den Ronden. Thommy den Ronden dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Kasper Decloedt's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Thommy den Ronden read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. If Arnoud Uyttebroeck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Raf De Vreese kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Constantijn Gendre sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 43 minutes into the game, one of Club Laakdal:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. A collision led to Club Laakdal getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Franck Dechamps hit a great ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Constantijn Gendre to make the kick off. Constantijn Gendre who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 52ndth minute tested the skills of Thommy den Ronden when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Constantijn Gendre sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Club Laakdal's zone, Constantijn Gendre stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Thommy den Ronden came out of the goal and Constantijn Gendre tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Constantijn Gendre received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Thommy den Ronden tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A hard shot 65 in the game by Constantijn Gendre from a close distance when the talented Thommy den Ronden managed to make a qualified save. Club Laakdal's players were relieved. Siebe Van Leemputt charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Siebe Van Leemputt the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The Arrakis fans' excitement grew in the 68th match minute when Arrakis's Constantijn Gendre looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Constantijn Gendre had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Franck Dechamps kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. 77 minutes into the game, Constantijn Gendre recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Thommy den Ronden. Constantijn Gendre showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-4. Johnny Bossuyt hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Constantijn Gendre recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Arrakis booed when Club Laakdal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tjorven Vercasteren didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Club Laakdal defense, Constantijn Gendre kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Thommy den Ronden. The Club Laakdal fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Thommy den Ronden should have stopped the shot. Arrakis's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
