Dre Van Eyken started the match with the kick off. Johannes Kempeneers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 10 minutes into the match, KSV Jabbeke's goal looked a bit too open when Johannes Kempeneers came free, but Ewout Laureys reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 15thth minute of the game Jimmy Van Collenborgh who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but KSV Jabbeke's Ewout Laureys was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Johannes Kempeneers managed to get in a good position for a shot. VC Denderleeuw's supporters rose to their feet, but Johannes Kempeneers was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ewout Laureys breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, KSV Jabbeke's Thobias Leers got a free kick in the 17th minute. Walter Van Gestel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dre Van Eyken in the 22nd minute of play. VC Denderleeuw's Johannes Kempeneers got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Johannes Kempeneers came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the VC Denderleeuw fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Johannes Kempeneers couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice moves Gilian Van Den Abeele could shoot a difficult shot in the 30th minute, which Walter Van Gestel however easily saved by the left post. If Jimmy Van Collenborgh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dre Van Eyken sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Walter Van Gestel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dre Van Eyken in the 34th minute of the match. Gilian Van Den Abeele fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Walter Van Gestel having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jimmy Van Collenborgh in the 43rd minute of play forced KSV Jabbeke's goalkeeper Ewout Laureys to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Johannes Kempeneers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Johannes Kempeneers to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 57th match minute, VC Denderleeuw was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robbrecht Hoes to maneuver through the defense. Ewout Laureys showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Johannes Kempeneers, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. The supporters of KSV Jabbeke booed when VC Denderleeuw was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robbrecht Hoes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Edgard Koens charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Edgard Koens the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 78 minutes into the match, Dre Van Eyken had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Walter Van Gestel. VC Denderleeuw's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dre Van Eyken was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. In the 81st minute, Gilian Van Den Abeele got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. VC Denderleeuw's Walter Van Gestel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dre Van Eyken in the 89th minute of play. After a rather tough play, KSV Jabbeke's Joerie Van Huruck got a free kick in the 91st minute. After a defensive mix-up in KSV Jabbeke's zone, Johannes Kempeneers stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ewout Laureys came out of the goal and Johannes Kempeneers tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. KSV Jabbeke had won after a very even match.
