Spectators: 6735 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1735, VIP seats: 0) Franky Conincx received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Daevy Vermeulen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Franky Conincx came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Schoonbroek fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Franky Conincx couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, SC Meeren's Fabrice Lanphant got a free kick in the 16th minute. Hubert Gheysen struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Daevy Vermeulen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Schoonbroek. Daevy Vermeulen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hubert Gheysen, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Franky Conincx in the 26th minute of play forced SC Meeren's goalkeeper Daevy Vermeulen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When SC Meeren's Miguel Figaro in the 29th minute got a chance for a shot 29th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Schoonbroek's goalie prevented a goal. If Lionel Naessens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. SC Meeren's Daevy Vermeulen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Franky Conincx in the 39th minute of play. Daevy Vermeulen came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by Schoonbroek's Hubert Gheysen. But to his dismay, Hubert Gheysen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. After 45 minutes of play, Schoonbroek's Franky Conincx made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Daevy Vermeulen was left in no man's land by his defense there! Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Franky Conincx's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Daevy Vermeulen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. Schoonbroek's Hubert Gheysen got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hubert Gheysen in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Daevy Vermeulen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Schoonbroek's Hubert Gheysen got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Franky Conincx fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daevy Vermeulen having to interfere. Miguel Figaro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Franky Conincx sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lorenzo Hylen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lionel Naessens sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Schoonbroek's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
