Spectators: 6000 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) KFC Forges's Sebbe Salms started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Sebbe Salms's late challenge caught a Bossiere's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sebbe Salms helped the player get up and apologised. 6 minutes into the match, KFC Forges's goal looked a bit too open when Andries Van Deinze came free, but Kim Meynen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Bossiere booed when KFC Forges was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wilfried Vuerinx didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 11thth minute of the game Andries Van Deinze who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but KFC Forges's Kim Meynen was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 12th minute Bartjan De Custer suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Joel Turpin charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Joel Turpin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 17 minutes into the game, Andries Van Deinze cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Kim Meynen was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 19 minutes, Andries Van Deinze mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bossiere and the KFC Forges players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Bossiere getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Andries Van Deinze hit a great ball. Ruben Volle recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bavo Pulix kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. In the 33rd minute, Jullian de Pelsmaeker hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Andries Van Deinze in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kim Meynen saved KFC Forges from getting behind. Kim Meynen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andries Van Deinze, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. 38 minutes into the match, Ruben Volle notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of KFC Forges's Kim Meynen. Kim Meynen was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Andries Van Deinze blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kim Meynen having to make a save. Andries Van Deinze received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Kim Meynen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Bossiere were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Andries Van Deinze was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 52 minutes, Joel Turpin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. KFC Forges's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joel Turpin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bossiere's Andries Van Deinze quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Gaetan De Greef, made in the 57th minute of the game. If Andries Van Deinze had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A sloppy throw-in by Gaetan De Greef in the 64th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Bossiere's Andries Van Deinze. After having played for 65 minutes, Ruben Volle managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bossiere's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ruben Volle was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ruben Volle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kim Meynen having to interfere. Andries Van Deinze sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 78th minute, Gaetan De Greef hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kim Meynen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andries Van Deinze, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bavo Pulix struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Ferdinando Pani didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for KFC Forges. When Tim-Jan De Kerper came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Bossiere fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tim-Jan De Kerper couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in KFC Forges's zone, Andries Van Deinze stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kim Meynen came out of the goal and Andries Van Deinze tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kim Meynen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tim-Jan De Kerper in the 94th minute of the match. If Andries Van Deinze had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
