Seating: 1743, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Miguel Figaro took the kick off in the first half of the match. Ronald Labrouche struck a weak shot in the 3rd minute. Daevy Vermeulen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Malempre. In the 7th minute the ball was on its way in behind Malempre's goalkeeper Miguel Wery, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When SC Meeren's Miguel Figaro in 11 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Miguel Wery guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. In the 12th minute, Miguel Figaro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Malempre's zone, Lionel Naessens stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Miguel Wery came out of the goal and Lionel Naessens tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A hard shot 27 in the game by Miguel Figaro from a close distance when the talented Miguel Wery managed to make a qualified save. Malempre's players were relieved. Daevy Vermeulen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ronald Labrouche in the 33rd minute of the match. The supporters of Malempre booed when SC Meeren was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vic Raeijmaeckers didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Gery Bautmans's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Daevy Vermeulen was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. If Ronald Labrouche had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Malempre's Ronald Labrouche got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 45th minute, Lionel Naessens left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SC Meeren fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ronald Labrouche was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to SC Meeren getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Stephen Van Der Elst hit a great ball. 52 minutes in the game Kristiaan Vercammen after having made a beautiful turn got a great opportunity to score and fired away a shot that went just to the left past a relieved Daevy Vermeulen. A very good opportunity. Miguel Wery showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miguel Figaro, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. In the 59thth minute of the game Ronald Labrouche who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Meeren's Daevy Vermeulen was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 62nd minute, Lionel Naessens got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Miguel Wery showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miguel Figaro in the 64th minute of the match. After 65 minutes, Roderik Skouten mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Malempre and the SC Meeren players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Malempre getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Roderik Skouten hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, SC Meeren's Benne Beekman got a free kick in the 75th minute. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Meeren's goalkeeper Daevy Vermeulen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Malempre's Miguel Wery played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miguel Figaro in the 94th minute of play. Daevy Vermeulen came out of the goal in the 96th minute to try and stop a shot by Malempre's Gery Bautmans. But to his dismay, Gery Bautmans quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Malempre's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because SC Meeren had won, even though Malempre had held more of the ball.
