An unexpected shot in the 22nd minute by Sam-Lucas De Jong got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sam-Lucas De Jong in the 23rd minute of play forced Walderdonk's goalkeeper Adam Slaghmeulders to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 30th minute, Serge Hollanders got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 31st minute Klaas Loosen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xavier Van Huyck saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Klaas Loosen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 35th minute Rafael Sterkx shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xavier Van Huyck saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 38th minute of the match Goffrey Helssen shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Xavier Van Huyck showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Jannes Van Aerschot kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Serge Hollanders recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Klaas Loosen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Xavier Van Huyck read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. After 46 played minutes Walderdonk got a freekick which was hit by Mitch Velkeneers. Royal Entente Durbuy's Sam-Lucas De Jong got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sam-Lucas De Jong to make the kick off. Xavier Van Huyck took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Serge Hollanders, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Sam-Lucas De Jong had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adam Slaghmeulders showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sam-Lucas De Jong, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Xavier Van Huyck took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Serge Hollanders, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sam-Lucas De Jong in the 75th minute of play forced Walderdonk's goalkeeper Adam Slaghmeulders to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Walderdonk booed when Royal Entente Durbuy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maurice Van der Vorst didn't get a good kick on the ball. Xavier Van Huyck made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Klaas Loosen sent off a good shot on target.
