Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Klaas Loosen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Les Hmar du 1480's Diedrik Coopmans was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 16th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Hubert Koten fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adam Slaghmeulders having to interfere. With a little luck, Walderdonk's Adam Slaghmeulders got control of the ball when Hubert Koten tried to sneak it across the goal line. 26 minutes into the match, Les Hmar du 1480's goal looked a bit too open when Serge Hollanders came free, but Joannes Van den Berchen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Les Hmar du 1480's zone, Klaas Loosen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joannes Van den Berchen came out of the goal and Klaas Loosen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hubert Koten sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The supporters of Walderdonk booed when Les Hmar du 1480 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Youri Gyselincx didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joos Dobbeleir kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Klaas Loosen in the 72ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Joannes Van den Berchen, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Joannes Van den Berchen came out of the goal and Serge Hollanders tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 91 minutes into the match, Les Hmar du 1480's goal looked a bit too open when Serge Hollanders came free, but Joannes Van den Berchen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joannes Van den Berchen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Klaas Loosen in the 93rd minute. The Les Hmar du 1480 players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
