The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 3 minutes of play, Park FC Houthalen's Joery Snyers made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Berten Verheijd was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the match had gone on for 14 minutes, Joery Snyers took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Berten Verheijd to make any attempt to save it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lorenzo De Martelaere in the 17th minute of play forced Park FC Houthalen's goalkeeper Quillian Vereijt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 19 minutes into the match, Lorenzo De Martelaere had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Quillian Vereijt. Park FC Houthalen's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lorenzo De Martelaere was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. 22 minutes into the game, Tjorven De Wyngaert recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Berten Verheijd. Tjorven De Wyngaert showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-1. In the 25th minute, Diego Roggen left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sc Varac fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. Park FC Houthalen's Quillian Vereijt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dylan Verbraecken in the 28th minute of play. Quillian Vereijt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lorenzo De Martelaere, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Park FC Houthalen's Quillian Vereijt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diego Roggen in the 43rd minute of play. Quillian Vereijt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dylan Verbraecken in the 44th minute of play. In the 45th minute Dylan Verbraecken shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Quillian Vereijt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 47 minutes into the match, Park FC Houthalen's goal looked a bit too open when Lorenzo De Martelaere came free, but Quillian Vereijt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lorenzo De Martelaere stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Quillian Vereijt made a fantastic save in the 51st minute, when Diego Roggen sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Lorenzo De Martelaere managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sc Varac's supporters rose to their feet, but Lorenzo De Martelaere was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Quillian Vereijt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With an all-out effort, Sc Varac's Quillian Vereijt threw himself towards the right post 54 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Lorenzo De Martelaere, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Sc Varac's Berten Verheijd played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Evert Van Der Eyde in the 55th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Sc Varac's zone, Jo Vergau stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Berten Verheijd came out of the goal and Jo Vergau tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 57 minutes into the match, Sc Varac's goal looked a bit too open when Jo Vergau came free, but Berten Verheijd reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A hard shot 64 in the game by Lorenzo De Martelaere from a close distance when the talented Quillian Vereijt managed to make a qualified save. Park FC Houthalen's players were relieved. In the 80th minute Bart Van De Broeck shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Quillian Vereijt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 81 minutes into the game, Evert Van Der Eyde was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Park FC Houthalen's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sc Varac the free kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sergio Limpens during the 82nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 82nd minute of the game. One of Park FC Houthalen:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Sc Varac:s goal. The audience was convinced that Lorenzo De Martelaere's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Quillian Vereijt was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. In the 88th minute, Dylan Verbraecken fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Roderik Haeselaers hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. In the 90th minute, Bart Van De Broeck got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 95th minute Jo Vergau shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Berten Verheijd saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Lorenzo De Martelaere's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Quillian Vereijt was relentless in the 97th minute of the game. Bart Van De Broeck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The Park FC Houthalen support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
