The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The VC Wateringen fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 41st minute Samuel Van de Zande shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Quillian Vereijt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 45th minute the ball was on its way in behind Park FC Houthalen's goalkeeper Quillian Vereijt, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 47 minutes into the match, Park FC Houthalen's goal looked a bit too open when Samuel Van de Zande came free, but Quillian Vereijt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half VC Wateringen were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Samuel Van de Zande made a kick off. After 78 played minutes Park FC Houthalen got a freekick which was hit by Joery Snyers. Samuel Van de Zande fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Quillian Vereijt having to interfere. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. VC Wateringen had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
