Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Lorenzo De Martelaere got the match started through his kick off. Berten Verheijd showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jimmy Spailer in the 3rd minute of the match. In the 4thth minute of the game Lorenzo De Martelaere who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Schrikhoek's Mattheo Vercouteren was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Lorenzo De Martelaere was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 6th minute. Sc Varac's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 7th minute, Robert Soens hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 8 minutes, Bart Van De Broeck managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sc Varac's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bart Van De Broeck was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mattheo Vercouteren stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lorenzo De Martelaere's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. Berten Verheijd made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Glenn Van Meensel in the 12th minute of play. In the 13th minute, Boudewijn Van de Poel left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Schrikhoek fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Robert Soens kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. 18 minutes into the match, Sc Varac's goal looked a bit too open when Boudewijn Van de Poel came free, but Berten Verheijd reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Schrikhoek's Mattheo Vercouteren proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Schrikhoek from getting a goal against them. 25 minutes into the match, Schrikhoek's goalkeeper Mattheo Vercouteren had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dylan Verbraecken. After having played for 26 minutes, Bart Van De Broeck managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sc Varac's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bart Van De Broeck was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Johnny De Fever kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Lorenzo De Martelaere received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Mattheo Vercouteren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Sc Varac getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Dylan Verbraecken hit a great ball. Jacob Switten's late challenge caught a Schrikhoek's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jacob Switten helped the player get up and apologised. After a defensive mix-up in Schrikhoek's zone, Dylan Verbraecken stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mattheo Vercouteren came out of the goal and Dylan Verbraecken tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Schrikhoek's Mattheo Vercouteren proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Schrikhoek from getting a goal against them. Berten Verheijd showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jimmy Spailer, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Glenn Van Meensel to make the kick off. Dylan Verbraecken was shown his second yellow card after 52 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 52 played minutes Sc Varac got a freekick which was hit by Dylan Verbraecken. When Niels Swings fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sc Varac's protests and gave Niels Swings a yellow card for diving instead. Niels Swings hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Lorenzo De Martelaere's late challenge caught a Schrikhoek's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lorenzo De Martelaere helped the player get up and apologised. In the 57th minute, Lorenzo De Martelaere hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Lorenzo De Martelaere had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, Sc Varac's Lorenzo De Martelaere got a free kick in the 66th minute. When Bart Van De Broeck came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Sc Varac fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bart Van De Broeck couldn't finish the play. Berten Verheijd made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Glenn Van Meensel in the 72nd minute of play. 73 minutes into the match, Schrikhoek's goal looked a bit too open when Lorenzo De Martelaere came free, but Mattheo Vercouteren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 75 minutes, Bart Van De Broeck managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sc Varac's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bart Van De Broeck was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Diego Roggen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Mattheo Vercouteren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Diego Roggen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bart Van De Broeck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 85th minute, Lorenzo De Martelaere sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Schrikhoek's Mattheo Vercouteren didn't even have to move. If Jimmy Spailer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sc Varac's Berten Verheijd played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Glenn Van Meensel in the 89th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Schrikhoek's zone, Diego Roggen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mattheo Vercouteren came out of the goal and Diego Roggen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 95th minute, Lorenzo De Martelaere made a precise shot to the right of Mattheo Vercouteren. Schrikhoek's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Sc Varac walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
