Wezemaal's Arsene Geeraerts proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 5th minute of the match, managed to save Wezemaal from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emanuel De Weyngaert in the 7th minute of play forced Wezemaal's goalkeeper Arsene Geeraerts to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 9 minutes into the match, Wezemaal's goal looked a bit too open when Emanuel De Weyngaert came free, but Arsene Geeraerts reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sebastien Cerneels blasted a shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Arsene Geeraerts having to make a save. After 13 played minutes Philippe Geubelsville got a freekick which was hit by Emanuel De Weyngaert. 15 minutes into the match, Wezemaal's goalkeeper Arsene Geeraerts had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sebastien Cerneels. Arsene Geeraerts made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emanuel De Weyngaert in the 17th minute of play. Emanuel De Weyngaert recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sebastien Cerneels struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Arsene Geeraerts didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Philippe Geubelsville. If Karl Van Dock had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emanuel De Weyngaert sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sebastien Cerneels recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Sebastien Cerneels managed to get in a good position for a shot. Philippe Geubelsville's supporters rose to their feet, but Sebastien Cerneels was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arsene Geeraerts breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Emanuel De Weyngaert came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Philippe Geubelsville fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emanuel De Weyngaert couldn't finish the play. In the 46th minute Sebastien Cerneels shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arsene Geeraerts saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Leopold Bernage had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Emanuel De Weyngaert made a kick off. Jan Vischkens took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Arsene Geeraerts. Arsene Geeraerts dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. If Sebastien Cerneels had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 59 minutes, Aaron Duchateau mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Wezemaal and the Philippe Geubelsville players grew even worse after the yellow card. Aaron Duchateau hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. After having played for 60 minutes, Emanuel De Weyngaert managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Philippe Geubelsville's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emanuel De Weyngaert was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 65 minutes into the game, Emanuel De Weyngaert cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Arsene Geeraerts was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Emanuel De Weyngaert fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arsene Geeraerts having to interfere. Tommie Smolders recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 74th minute, Sebastien Cerneels ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Arsene Geeraerts was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Jan Vischkens took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Arsene Geeraerts. Arsene Geeraerts dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. After some careless play in the Wezemaal defense, Sebastien Cerneels kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Arsene Geeraerts. The Wezemaal fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arsene Geeraerts should have stopped the shot. The audience was convinced that Sebastien Cerneels's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Arsene Geeraerts was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. Jan Vischkens received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Arsene Geeraerts tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 86th minute, Timmy Herremans hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Emanuel De Weyngaert received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute.
