Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) KFC Vechmaal's Nickolas Breugelmans started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind KFC Vechmaal's goalkeeper Walter Van Boeckost, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Walter Van Boeckost showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jan Vischkens, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. A collision led to Philippe Geubelsville getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Tommie Smolders hit a great ball. In the 31st minute of the match Oliver Huytterhoeven sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Peter-Jan Lambrechts skillfully saved the ball. When Emanuel De Weyngaert came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Philippe Geubelsville fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emanuel De Weyngaert couldn't finish the play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Emanuel De Weyngaert made a kick off. KFC Vechmaal's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Emanuel De Weyngaert 54 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 3-2. KFC Vechmaal's defense didn't have a chance, in the 59th minute, when Emanuel De Weyngaert scored to the left of an out of position Walter Van Boeckost, making the score, 3-3. In the 62nd minute, Stefaan Van Den Broeck hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 3-4 became the score in the 66th minute when Emanuel De Weyngaert elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Gert Paaps received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Walter Van Boeckost tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to KFC Vechmaal getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Dolf Van Vyve hit a great ball. Emanuel De Weyngaert blasted a shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Walter Van Boeckost having to make a save. After 75 played minutes KFC Vechmaal got a freekick which was hit by Bertan Jonckheere. Emanuel De Weyngaert recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sebastien Cerneels received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Walter Van Boeckost tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Jan Vischkens came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Philippe Geubelsville fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jan Vischkens couldn't finish the play. After 89 minutes, Tommie Smolders mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Philippe Geubelsville and the KFC Vechmaal players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 90th minute, Tommie Smolders hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 91 minutes into the match, Gilbert Poelmans had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Peter-Jan Lambrechts. Philippe Geubelsville's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gilbert Poelmans was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-5. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Sebastien Cerneels managed to get in a good position for a shot. Philippe Geubelsville's supporters rose to their feet, but Sebastien Cerneels was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Walter Van Boeckost breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 96 minutes into the match, KFC Vechmaal's goal looked a bit too open when Emanuel De Weyngaert came free, but Walter Van Boeckost reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
