Spectators: 7323 (Terracing: 5605, Seating: 1718, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Roben Van Riel started the match with the kick off. Clermont's Conrad Nelis got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Jamie Bosmans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 6 minutes into the match, Real Kessel FC's goal looked a bit too open when Conrad Nelis came free, but Laurent Van Gheel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 9th minute, Jamie Bosmans got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Clermont's Conrad Nelis got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jamie Bosmans fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Laurent Van Gheel having to interfere. If Jamie Bosmans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 27 minutes, Conrad Nelis put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Laurent Van Gheel. Laurent Van Gheel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jamie Bosmans in the 33rd minute of play. Jamie Bosmans fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Laurent Van Gheel having to interfere. Laurent Van Gheel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Conrad Nelis, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Jamie Bosmans received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Laurent Van Gheel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Real Kessel FC getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Yannik Van hoegaerde hit a great ball. After having played for 47 minutes, Nicolas Teunis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Clermont's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nicolas Teunis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After the first half Clermont were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Conrad Nelis to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpected shot in the 52nd minute by Conrad Nelis got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Conrad Nelis in the 53rd minute of play forced Real Kessel FC's goalkeeper Laurent Van Gheel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Conrad Nelis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Laurent Van Gheel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jamie Bosmans in the 58th minute of play. Jamie Bosmans sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jamie Bosmans struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Laurent Van Gheel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Clermont. Jamie Bosmans sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 66 minutes into the match, Clermont's Conrad Nelis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Laurent Van Gheel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 67th minute, Roben Van Riel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Clermont's Ief Schipmans quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Gilian Sproten, made in the 75th minute of the game. Jamie Bosmans recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Conrad Nelis came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Clermont fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Conrad Nelis couldn't finish the play. If Jamie Bosmans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 84 minutes into the game, Gilian Sproten was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Real Kessel FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Clermont the free kick. After a rather tough play, Real Kessel FC's Gilian Sproten got a free kick in the 84th minute. Clermont's Jamie Bosmans got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Clermont fans' excitement grew in the 93rd match minute when Clermont's Conrad Nelis looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Laurent Van Gheel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jamie Bosmans in the 96th minute of the match.
