When Refael Masculier came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the AS Waarschoot fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Refael Masculier couldn't finish the play. Dominick Seveneijns showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jullian Tkint in the 33rd minute of the match. With a little luck, AS Waarschoot's Roderik Sproten got control of the ball when Reinaert Boemans tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thommy Van Turnhout kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. Dolf Lembrechts fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roderik Sproten having to interfere. With a little luck, AS Waarschoot's Roderik Sproten got control of the ball when Reinaert Boemans tried to sneak it across the goal line. After the first half AS Waarschoot were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jullian Tkint was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 60 minutes, Jullian Tkint managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AS Waarschoot's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jullian Tkint was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Reinaert Boemans came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the FC de katholieke kring fans jumped to their feet. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dolf Lembrechts in the 74th minute of play forced AS Waarschoot's goalkeeper Roderik Sproten to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 75 minutes into the match, AS Waarschoot's goal looked a bit too open when Reinaert Boemans came free, but Roderik Sproten reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A nice corner shot did that Guido Wyfliets got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Roderik Sproten quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After a defensive mix-up in AS Waarschoot's zone, Reinaert Boemans stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roderik Sproten came out of the goal and Reinaert Boemans tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, AS Waarschoot's Willem-Alexander Ceusters got a free kick in the 96th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dolf Lembrechts in the 97th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Roderik Sproten prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. AS Waarschoot walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
