Augustijn Deville showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ricky Gijselinckx in the 28th minute of the match. 32 minutes into the match, Ricky Gijselinckx notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of RACING BRUSSELS's Augustijn Deville. Augustijn Deville was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Augustijn Deville came out of the goal and Ricky Gijselinckx tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gert-Jan Raes to make the kick off. In the 52ndth minute of the game Cederik Jonckers who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but RACING BRUSSELS's Augustijn Deville was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cederik Jonckers in the 54th minute of play forced RACING BRUSSELS's goalkeeper Augustijn Deville to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ricky Gijselinckx might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Augustijn Deville. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. In the 58th match minute, RACING BRUSSELS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Henri-Xavier Van Huyck to maneuver through the defense. The referee ignored RACING BRUSSELS's protests and gave Kristiaan Van Houdtvinck a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, RACING BRUSSELS's Kristiaan Van Houdtvinck got a free kick in the 69th minute. If Ricky Gijselinckx had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With his leg Augustijn Deville managed to avoid a goal in the 88thth minute, when RSC Athus's Cederik Jonckers fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cederik Jonckers in the 89th minute of play forced RACING BRUSSELS's goalkeeper Augustijn Deville to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cederik Jonckers recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gert-Jan Raes in the 95th minute of play forced RSC Athus's goalkeeper Andris Ourogge to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the final whistle sounded RSC Athus left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than RACING BRUSSELS.
