Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Artur Candries started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 5th minute, Ludo Omblet got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 6 minutes into the game, Rudy Van Haechten recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Rocky Cockaerts. Rudy Van Haechten showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Ludo Omblet kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. 18 minutes into the match, Menen's goal looked a bit too open when Artur Candries came free, but Vincent Van Boekost reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Michiel Cuveliers recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpected shot in the 26th minute by Ludo Omblet got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Michiel Cuveliers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rudy Van Haechten in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rocky Cockaerts prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, KVSK Boezinge's Nico Dhondt got a free kick in the 34th minute. Ludo Omblet struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Rocky Cockaerts didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Menen. After some careless play in the KVSK Boezinge defense, Ludo Omblet kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rocky Cockaerts. The KVSK Boezinge fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rocky Cockaerts should have stopped the shot.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rudy Van Haechten made a kick off. Ludo Omblet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. KVSK Boezinge's Rocky Cockaerts played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rudy Van Haechten in the 55th minute of play. In the 56th minute, Ivo Vrancken hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tobias Roscams hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Rocky Cockaerts showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rudy Van Haechten, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Sander Vercouteren hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. 66 minutes into the match, Menen's Rudy Van Haechten sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rocky Cockaerts narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 67 played minutes KVSK Boezinge got a freekick which was hit by Sander Vercouteren. Rudy Van Haechten fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rocky Cockaerts having to interfere. After 81 minutes, Fred Stuyck mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Menen and the KVSK Boezinge players grew even worse after the yellow card. Fred Stuyck kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Artur Candries's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vincent Van Boekost was relentless in the 82nd minute of the game. If Ludo Omblet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 90th minute Fred Stuyck shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rocky Cockaerts saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Menen walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
