Weegschede's Marcus Van den Plas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Perry Morreels in the 25th minute of play. In the 31st minute Evert-Jan Wery shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Berten Roukeloes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 32nd minute of the game. One of Highdouk City:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Weegschede:s goal. The referee gave Weegschede a penalty, 33 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Thomas-Jan Driesen, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Highdouk City's Berten Roukeloes. 1-3. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Perry Morreels to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 57th minute, Jonas De Worteler left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Weegschede fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. Weegschede's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
