Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Rudy Van Haechten made the kick off which started today's match. Wesley Diericx didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ludo Omblet went, in the 3rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. In the 8th minute, Ludo Omblet got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Wesley Diericx came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by Menen's Ludo Omblet. But to his dismay, Ludo Omblet quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Wesley Diericx showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rudy Van Haechten, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mathieu-Maxim Tilens in the 17th minute of play forced Menen's goalkeeper Vincent Van Boekost to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Ludo Omblet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rudy Van Haechten recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Verrebeke's zone, Ludo Omblet stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wesley Diericx came out of the goal and Ludo Omblet tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Harrie Imbreghts fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Verrebeke's protests and gave Harrie Imbreghts a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Verrebeke getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Harrie Imbreghts hit a great ball. Ludo Omblet recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fred Stuyck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 39 minutes into the match, Verrebeke's goal looked a bit too open when Rudy Van Haechten came free, but Wesley Diericx reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 40th minute of the match, Rudy Van Haechten tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Wesley Diericx saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Fred Stuyck hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mathieu-Maxim Tilens stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Rudy Van Haechten received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Wesley Diericx tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jesse De Bruyn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ludo Omblet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Wesley Diericx tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Verrebeke's Wesley Diericx played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rudy Van Haechten in the 63rd minute of play. Harrie Imbreghts was shown his second yellow card after 76 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Ludo Omblet recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 80th minute of the match Geoffrey Allaert shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Wesley Diericx showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 81 minutes into the game, Rudy Van Haechten cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Wesley Diericx was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Rudy Van Haechten sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Wesley Diericx showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ludo Omblet in the 95th minute of the match. Verrebeke's Wesley Diericx played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ludo Omblet in the 96th minute of play. Menen walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
