Jan Tuerlinckx showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miguel Bautmans in the 28th minute of the match. Seppe Uytterhoeven could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Jan Tuerlinckx made a huge save. If Herve Slaghmeulders had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 33 minutes, Herve Slaghmeulders managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Stasegem's supporters crossed their fingers, but Herve Slaghmeulders was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Laurenz Asselberghs kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jan Tuerlinckx. That made the score 1-0 in the 39 minute of play. In the 42nd match minute, FC Twiztid was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sebastien De Schutter to maneuver through the defense. Octavian Gramet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wart Van den Berchen having to interfere.

The wind increased when Roger Fabry made the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Roger Fabry dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Wart Van den Berchen, 1-1. In the 67th minute, Seppe Uytterhoeven got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Miguel Bautmans sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 81 minutes, Ivo Van Camp mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Stasegem and the FC Twiztid players grew even worse after the yellow card. Antonio Van Hecke hit a great ball. In the 91st minute Miguel Bautmans shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan Tuerlinckx saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stasegem's Jan Tuerlinckx played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miguel Bautmans in the 95th minute of play. In the 96th minute, Miguel Bautmans got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. FC Twiztid were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Stasegem for a fine match.
