Spectators: 6728 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1728, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Godfried Hairpoel made the kick off which started today's match. When Thomas-Jan Vergouwen fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored KSV Kanegem's protests and gave Thomas-Jan Vergouwen a yellow card for diving instead. Thomas-Jan Vergouwen scored 1-0 in the 5th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Xander Pardaens, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Hamme-Mille's Xander Pardaens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Octaaf Neef in the 16th minute of play. The supporters of KSV Kanegem booed when Hamme-Mille was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jurgen Wouqier didn't get a good kick on the ball. Xander Pardaens was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Steven Hensmans. Matthis Lauwers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Benjamin Struelens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Godfried Hairpoel got in the 25th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Benjamin Struelens handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Godfried Hairpoel in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benjamin Struelens prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 30th minute, Edward De Maret hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hamme-Mille's Xander Pardaens proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Hamme-Mille from getting a goal against them. Octaaf Neef got in the 35th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Xander Pardaens handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. After 37 played minutes, Hamme-Mille's Jeffrey Beaufort shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Benjamin Struelens came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Hamme-Mille reached it. Jurgen Wouqier's late challenge caught a KSV Kanegem's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jurgen Wouqier helped the player get up and apologised. Jurgen Wouqier kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. 44 minutes into the match, Hamme-Mille's goal looked a bit too open when Octaaf Neef came free, but Xander Pardaens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Octaaf Neef received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Xander Pardaens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Octaaf Neef was the one to do the kick off. Sander De Keijser hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. If Thomas-Jan Vergouwen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Xander Pardaens stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Octaaf Neef's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. 64 minutes into the match, KSV Kanegem's goalkeeper Benjamin Struelens had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Matthis Lauwers. Cesar Van Meerbek kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Xander Pardaens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thomas-Jan Vergouwen in the 75th minute of play. In the 77thth minute of the game Octaaf Neef who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hamme-Mille's Xander Pardaens was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thomas-Jan Vergouwen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xander Pardaens having to interfere. Matthis Lauwers could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Benjamin Struelens made a huge save. Octaaf Neef blasted a shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Xander Pardaens having to make a save. 91 minutes into the game, Hamme-Mille's Matthis Lauwers nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benjamin Struelens made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Matthis Lauwers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. KSV Kanegem's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
