After a rather tough play, Franse Kunstenaars's Pierre-Alexandre Verhoeven got a free kick in the 6th minute. Stephan Geest, 7 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Augustijn Reijckmans showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frank Van Eijcken in the 12th minute of the match. After 14 played minutes Franse Kunstenaars got a freekick which was hit by Fabien Verbraecken. Marnix Callaerts could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Octave Van Cleijnenbruegel made a huge save. Philipp Kerstens, 20 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. RSC Izier's Augustijn Reijckmans played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Davy Huyghens in the 23rd minute of play. Franse Kunstenaars's Philipp Kerstens couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for RSC Izier. An unexpectedly hard shot by Davy Huyghens in the 35th minute of play forced RSC Izier's goalkeeper Augustijn Reijckmans to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. RSC Izier's Augustijn Reijckmans played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Davy Huyghens in the 39th minute of play. In the 42nd minute Kasper Dewolf shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Augustijn Reijckmans saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Franse Kunstenaars booed when RSC Izier was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rudy Herremans didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marnix Callaerts got free with Octave Van Cleijnenbruegel in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

After 53 minutes, Jorne Gyselinckx mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the RSC Izier and the Franse Kunstenaars players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 54 played minutes RSC Izier got a freekick which was hit by Jorne Gyselinckx. After 56 played minutes RSC Izier got a freekick which was hit by Nicolaas Godet. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind Franse Kunstenaars's goalkeeper Octave Van Cleijnenbruegel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Frank Van Eijcken came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Franse Kunstenaars fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Frank Van Eijcken couldn't finish the play. 74 minutes into the match, RSC Izier's goalkeeper Augustijn Reijckmans had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Frank Van Eijcken. Marnix Callaerts took the ball and in the 75 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Octave Van Cleijnenbruegel. Octave Van Cleijnenbruegel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. If Nicolaas Godet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Marnix Callaerts managed to get in a good position for a shot. RSC Izier's supporters rose to their feet, but Marnix Callaerts was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Octave Van Cleijnenbruegel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 89th minute Davy Huyghens shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Augustijn Reijckmans saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Davy Huyghens sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
