Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Edward Tarka started the match with the kick off. Cedrik Van der Veeren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nestor Hombroeckx, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Axel Stoffels sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sebastien Michiels could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Cedrik Van der Veeren made a huge save. 12 minutes into the match, KV Mechelen's goalkeeper Cedrik Van der Veeren had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sammy Waeberghe. If Kim Rymenans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 17 played minutes LeRoeulx got a freekick which was hit by Steve Stuijckens. In the 19th minute, LeRoeulx's Sammy Waeberghe ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Cedrik Van der Veeren. Cedrik Van der Veeren yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. With a little luck, KV Mechelen's Cedrik Van der Veeren got control of the ball when Nestor Hombroeckx tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cedrik Van der Veeren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sammy Waeberghe in the 25th minute of play. Edward Tarka's late challenge caught a LeRoeulx's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edward Tarka helped the player get up and apologised. Sammy Waeberghe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cedrik Van der Veeren having to interfere. If Axel Stoffels had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. KV Mechelen's Cedrik Van der Veeren proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save KV Mechelen from getting a goal against them. Nestor Hombroeckx who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 40thth minute tested the skills of Cedrik Van der Veeren when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Fidel Blazquez lost his temper 43 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. 42 minutes into the game, one of KV Mechelen:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Axel Stoffels to make the kick off. A collision led to KV Mechelen getting a freekick after 50 minutes play. Tommas Himschoot hit a great ball. In the 54th match minute, LeRoeulx was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sammy Waeberghe to maneuver through the defense. Cedrik Van der Veeren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Michael Roussel in the 58th minute of play. Cedrik Van der Veeren stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Michael Roussel's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. When Nestor Hombroeckx came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the LeRoeulx fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nestor Hombroeckx couldn't finish the play. In the 73rdth minute of the game Axel Stoffels who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but KV Mechelen's Cedrik Van der Veeren was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Nestor Hombroeckx received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Cedrik Van der Veeren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Axel Stoffels scored 2-0 in the 79th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cedrik Van der Veeren, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 85thth minute of the game Sammy Waeberghe who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but KV Mechelen's Cedrik Van der Veeren was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 87 minutes into the match, KV Mechelen's goal looked a bit too open when Michael Roussel came free, but Cedrik Van der Veeren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nestor Hombroeckx took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cedrik Van der Veeren. Cedrik Van der Veeren dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. After 91 minutes of play, LeRoeulx's Nestor Hombroeckx made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cedrik Van der Veeren was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Michael Roussel managed to get in a good position for a shot. LeRoeulx's supporters rose to their feet, but Michael Roussel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cedrik Van der Veeren breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. LeRoeulx walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
