Stefan Heers might have been able to make a better finish in the 25th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Augustijn Reijckmans. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Stefan Heers ran back to his position shaking his head. Vlesenbeek's Kris Vanhaeren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marnix Callaerts in the 28th minute of play. After 29 minutes, Jorne Gyselinckx mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the RSC Izier and the Vlesenbeek players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, RSC Izier's Jorne Gyselinckx got a free kick in the 29th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tristan Vervaeck in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Augustijn Reijckmans saved RSC Izier from getting behind. Augustijn Reijckmans stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tristan Vervaeck's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. In the 47th minute, Stefan Heers made a precise shot to the right of Augustijn Reijckmans. RSC Izier's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tristan Vervaeck made a kick off. Evert Steenbecks charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Evert Steenbecks the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Vlesenbeek booed when RSC Izier was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Evert Steenbecks didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tristan Vervaeck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Augustijn Reijckmans having to interfere. After 64 minutes of play RSC Izier's Evert Steenbecks was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tristan Vervaeck in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Augustijn Reijckmans prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Augustijn Reijckmans made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeremie Huyterhoeven in the 68th minute of play. Augustijn Reijckmans showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tristan Vervaeck in the 71st minute of the match. After 72 played minutes RSC Izier got a freekick which was hit by Nicolaas Godet. Vlesenbeek's Matias Mathy couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for RSC Izier. In the 79th minute Tristan Vervaeck shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Augustijn Reijckmans saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Augustijn Reijckmans showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tristan Vervaeck, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. If Stefan Heers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Tristan Vervaeck managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vlesenbeek's supporters rose to their feet, but Tristan Vervaeck was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Augustijn Reijckmans breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Stefan Heers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Augustijn Reijckmans having to interfere. RSC Izier's Marnix Callaerts got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Vlesenbeek fully deserved thier win.
