SC Velveken's Jason Van Hoovelt got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dean Castermans kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Nicolaas Meersmans sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. KVSK Kontich's Ruud Jaddon got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Camiel Impens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ruud Jaddon, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. A collision led to KVSK Kontich getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Dean Castermans hit a great ball. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jason Van Hoovelt made a kick off. In the 57th match minute, SC Velveken was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kasper Stas to maneuver through the defense. If Jason Van Hoovelt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of KVSK Kontich booed when SC Velveken was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kasper Stas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Camiel Impens was a little too slow when Serge Limpens got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 79th minute. The score was now 0-2. Serge Limpens's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Camiel Impens read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. Dries Rauvoe hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. After having played for 91 minutes, Jason Van Hoovelt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Velveken's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jason Van Hoovelt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Chris-George Koenens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jason Van Hoovelt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 98 minutes into the game, SC Velveken's Nicolaas Meersmans nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Chris-George Koenens made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. KVSK Kontich had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
