After 13 minutes, Albert Tuytgans mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SK Graty and the KFC Aalbeke Sport players grew even worse after the yellow card. Albert Tuytgans kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Giovanny Valckenaers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 18th minute, Giovanny Valckenaers got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Giovanny Valckenaers placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Tommy Cappels fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Peter-Jan De Bruyn having to interfere. Peter-Jan De Bruyn stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Giovanny Valckenaers's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. After a defensive mix-up in SK Graty's zone, Tommy Cappels stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Peter-Jan De Bruyn came out of the goal and Tommy Cappels tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. KFC Aalbeke Sport's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Godfried Imbreghts in the 34th minute. Tommy Cappels might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Peter-Jan De Bruyn. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tommy Cappels ran back to his position shaking his head. SK Graty's Peter-Jan De Bruyn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Giovanny Valckenaers in the 39th minute of play. 40 minutes into the match, Tommy Cappels notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of SK Graty's Peter-Jan De Bruyn. Peter-Jan De Bruyn was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 47 minutes into the game, Hugo Damman was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. KFC Aalbeke Sport's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SK Graty the free kick. Hugo Damman hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. The long shot by Arthur Andries in the 48th minute really tested Ahmet Boran Beykan's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Giovanny Valckenaers to make the kick off. Giovanny Valckenaers could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Peter-Jan De Bruyn made a huge save. Stef Beullens kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. In the 61st minute, Felix Winnepennincks hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hugo Damman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Peter-Jan De Bruyn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Giovanny Valckenaers who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 78thth minute tested the skills of Peter-Jan De Bruyn when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Hugo Damman's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 79thth minute, Peter-Jan De Bruyn skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. If Giovanny Valckenaers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Boudewijn Sprotens short, quick shot in the 88thth minute got Peter-Jan De Bruyn to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Peter-Jan De Bruyn made an important save on a dangerous shot by Giovanny Valckenaers in the 95th minute. The SK Graty fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. KFC Aalbeke Sport were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
