The audience thought a goal was coming when Kim Walters got free with Bernard Klijnhens in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 8 minutes into the match, VC Thuin's goalkeeper Bernard Klijnhens had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kim Walters. Bernard Klijnhens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lorenz Kerselaers in the 15th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kim Walters got free with Bernard Klijnhens in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Stein Ballette had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Gaetan Van Boeckost blasted a shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Levi Van de Goor having to make a save. In the 30th minute, Victor Wiggers made a precise shot to the right of Levi Van de Goor. Fc De Tommies's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Fc De Tommies's zone, Alexander De Backer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Levi Van de Goor came out of the goal and Alexander De Backer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Wes Louckx kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lorenz Kerselaers to strike the kick off in the second half. Levi Van de Goor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gaetan Van Boeckost in the 52nd minute of play. Stein Ballette received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Levi Van de Goor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lorenz Kerselaers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernard Klijnhens having to interfere. If Lorenz Kerselaers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lorenz Kerselaers struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Bernard Klijnhens didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fc De Tommies. The audience was convinced that Kim Walters's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bernard Klijnhens was relentless in the 79th minute of the game. Bernard Klijnhens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kim Walters, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Lorenz Kerselaers struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Bernard Klijnhens didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fc De Tommies. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gaetan Van Boeckost in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Levi Van de Goor saved Fc De Tommies from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Stein Ballette managed to get in a good position for a shot. VC Thuin's supporters rose to their feet, but Stein Ballette was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Levi Van de Goor breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Levi Van de Goor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gaetan Van Boeckost, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kim Walters sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. VC Thuin's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
