But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Herve Heijligem couldn't finish the play. The crowd rose to their feet as SpaC AC's Herve Heijligem slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Hendrik-Jan Raemakers. That made the score 1-0 after 17 minutes of play. In the 22nd minute, Mathias Van Hoeyvelt left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC DE ZWAAN fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. After a rather tough play, FC DE ZWAAN's Vicente De Maret got a free kick in the 30th minute. After 32 played minutes, SpaC AC's Jan-Pieter Schipmans shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Hendrik-Jan Raemakers came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in SpaC AC reached it. Lorenzo Standaers took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 35th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Hendrik-Jan Raemakers. FC DE ZWAAN's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 36 minutes into the game, Herve Heijligem was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SpaC AC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC DE ZWAAN the free kick. In the 36th match minute, SpaC AC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Herve Heijligem to maneuver through the defense. Harrie Van Hoyvelt struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Joey Van Aarschot didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC DE ZWAAN. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

In the 51st minute Johannes Petermans shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joey Van Aarschot saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. SpaC AC's Joey Van Aarschot proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save SpaC AC from getting a goal against them. In the 55th minute of the match Thijs Moors sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hendrik-Jan Raemakers skillfully saved the ball. Herve Heijligem fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hendrik-Jan Raemakers having to interfere. Rein Van Hinnendael struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Hendrik-Jan Raemakers didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SpaC AC. Mathias Van Hoeyvelt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Herve Heijligem in the 65th minute of play forced FC DE ZWAAN's goalkeeper Hendrik-Jan Raemakers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 69 played minutes, SpaC AC's Thijs Moors shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Hendrik-Jan Raemakers came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. Hendrik-Jan Raemakers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Herve Heijligem in the 80th minute of the match. SpaC AC's Joey Van Aarschot proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save SpaC AC from getting a goal against them. When SpaC AC's Herve Heijligem in the 86th minute got a chance for a shot 86th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC DE ZWAAN's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpected shot in the 93rd minute by Mathias Van Hoeyvelt got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
