Spectators: 6735 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1735, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Johannes Petermans got the match started through his kick off. In the 3rd minute Loui De Middeleer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hendrik-Jan Raemakers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to FC DE ZWAAN getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Vicente De Maret hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Loui De Middeleer in the 8th minute of play forced FC DE ZWAAN's goalkeeper Hendrik-Jan Raemakers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Club Gozee booed when FC DE ZWAAN was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Harrie Van Hoyvelt didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 10th minute, Augustijn Vanneste sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and FC DE ZWAAN's Hendrik-Jan Raemakers didn't even have to move. 12 minutes into the match, Loui De Middeleer notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of FC DE ZWAAN's Hendrik-Jan Raemakers. Hendrik-Jan Raemakers was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 22nd minute Johannes Petermans shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Qwinten Van Caels saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Johannes Petermans charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Johannes Petermans the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Club Gozee's Joop Van Leemputte got a free kick in the 29th minute. Johannes Petermans recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Qwinten Van Caels showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Johannes Petermans in the 39th minute of the match. 42 minutes into the match, Club Gozee's Joery Ingelborgh sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hendrik-Jan Raemakers narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 43 played minutes FC DE ZWAAN got a freekick which was hit by Harrie Van Hoyvelt. 44 minutes into the game, Tommie De Winter was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC DE ZWAAN's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Club Gozee the free kick. In the 44th minute, one of FC DE ZWAAN:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for FC DE ZWAAN. After the first half Club Gozee were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joery Ingelborgh stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Loui De Middeleer managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Gozee's supporters rose to their feet, but Loui De Middeleer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hendrik-Jan Raemakers breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC DE ZWAAN's goalkeeper Hendrik-Jan Raemakers, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Qwinten Van Caels showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mathias Van Hoeyvelt, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Hendrik-Jan Raemakers came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by Club Gozee's Loui De Middeleer. But to his dismay, Loui De Middeleer quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. After a defensive mix-up in FC DE ZWAAN's zone, Loui De Middeleer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hendrik-Jan Raemakers came out of the goal and Loui De Middeleer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 93rd minute, Tommie De Winter hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
