In the 18th minute Dimitri Swartenbroekx shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Balthazar Severyns saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gustave Lingier got free with Julius van der Eycken in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 25th minute, RSC Veurenberg's Floris De Keijsere ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Julius van der Eycken. Julius van der Eycken yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. RSC Veurenberg's Gustave Lingier got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Floris De Keijsere received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. In the 35th minute, Leon Berchmans got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Floris De Keijsere stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Floris De Keijsere came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the RSC Veurenberg fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Floris De Keijsere couldn't finish the play. Leon Berchmans fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Balthazar Severyns having to interfere. Joonatan Van Leempten's late challenge caught a RSC Veurenberg's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Joonatan Van Leempten helped the player get up and apologised. In the 63rd match minute, Olympia Oostende was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joonatan Van Leempten to maneuver through the defense. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The RSC Veurenberg fans cheered their team off the field, for while Olympia Oostende had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
