Spectators: 6849 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1849, VIP seats: 0) Zeemanshaard FC's Dan Skouten started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some careless play in the Ruddervoorde defense, Dan Lefevere kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Boris Koppen. The Ruddervoorde fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Boris Koppen should have stopped the shot. Ruddervoorde's Boris Koppen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dan Skouten in the 7th minute of play. If Dan Skouten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 15 minutes into the match, Dan Skouten had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Boris Koppen. Ruddervoorde's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dan Skouten was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Jef Van Deinze made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Adolphe Van Lueven sent off a good shot on target. 23 minutes into the match, Dan Skouten notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Ruddervoorde's Boris Koppen. Boris Koppen was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Denis Meulders sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Boris Koppen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dan Skouten in the 28th minute of the match. After 30 minutes of play, Zeemanshaard FC's Kenn Uytdebroeck made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Boris Koppen was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Dan Skouten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Dan Skouten came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Zeemanshaard FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dan Skouten couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ryan Vleminx during the 36th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ryan Vleminx hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Jerom De Coninck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 42nd match minute, Zeemanshaard FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cesar Winnepenninckx to maneuver through the defense. Adolphe Van Lueven might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jef Van Deinze. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Adolphe Van Lueven ran back to his position shaking his head. Walter Leempoels sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half Zeemanshaard FC were leading 1-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Walter Leempoels to make the kick off. If Octave Dobbeleir had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dan Lefevere blasted a shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Boris Koppen having to make a save. After 63 minutes, Dan Skouten mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Zeemanshaard FC and the Ruddervoorde players grew even worse after the yellow card. Boris Koppen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dan Skouten, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Through an outstanding action, after 71 minutes, Boris Koppen successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 74 minutes into the game, Laurenz Van Meerbeek threw the ball into play from the sideline. Zeemanshaard FC's Octave Dobbeleir quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 76th match minute, Ruddervoorde was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ernst Rits to maneuver through the defense. Octave Dobbeleir received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Boris Koppen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dan Skouten recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Boris Koppen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dan Lefevere, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. In the 84th minute Dan Skouten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Boris Koppen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Octave Dobbeleir kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Boris Koppen. That made the score 1-5 in the 85 minute of play. 89 minutes into the match, Ruddervoorde's goal looked a bit too open when Dan Skouten came free, but Boris Koppen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 94th minute, Dan Skouten reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Boris Koppen. The goal made the score 1-6.
