Spectators: 6832 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1832, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Evert-Jan Vercasteren made the kick off which started today's match. If Toon Wynaerts had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Yvan Denys fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Volders having to interfere. After 11 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Staak! The referee gave Zoetwater a penalty, 12 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Jarne Huijbregs, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Staak's David Volders. 0-1. David Volders came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Zoetwater's Toon Wynaerts. But to his dismay, Toon Wynaerts quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Richey Waterloos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zoetwater's supporters rose to their feet, but Richey Waterloos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. David Volders breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Zoetwater's Yvan Denys in the 24th minute got a chance for a shot 24th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Staak's goalie prevented a goal. Yvan Denys might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over David Volders. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Yvan Denys ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 33rd minute Yvan Denys shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Volders saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Yvan Denys recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Toon Wynaerts's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but David Volders was relentless in the 41st minute of the game. When Yvan Denys came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Zoetwater fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Yvan Denys couldn't finish the play. After 45 played minutes Staak got a freekick which was hit by Tony Van Beersel. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Toon Wynaerts made a kick off. In the 55th minute, Toon Wynaerts reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of David Volders. The goal made the score 0-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Charly Rokeloos in the 59th minute of play forced Staak's goalkeeper David Volders to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Toon Wynaerts received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. David Volders tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Yvan Denys sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. David Volders made an important save on a dangerous shot by Yvan Denys in the 68th minute. In the 69th minute, Toon Wynaerts fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of David Volders, passed just outside the right post. Charles-Louis Huijsmans hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. David Volders made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Yvan Denys sent off a good shot on target. If Yvan Denys had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Toon Wynaerts sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Staak's David Volders proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Staak from getting a goal against them. After 92 played minutes Toon Wynaerts rounded Staak's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-4. The Staak fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Zoetwater were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
