Corneel Gielens fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Boris Koppen having to interfere. KFC Herbuchenne's Corneel Gielens got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 23 minutes, Tim-Jan Van der Hoeven managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. KFC Herbuchenne's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tim-Jan Van der Hoeven was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Corneel Gielens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Corneel Gielens fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Boris Koppen having to interfere. KFC Herbuchenne's Corneel Gielens got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 32nd minute, KFC Herbuchenne's Corneel Gielens dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-0. KFC Herbuchenne's Martial Van Hoyvelt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adolphe Van Lueven in the 35th minute of play. With an all-out effort, KFC Herbuchenne's Boris Koppen threw himself towards the right post 38 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Corneel Gielens, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. A collision led to Ruddervoorde getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Ryan Vleminx hit a great ball. Walter Leempoels received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Martial Van Hoyvelt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Walter Leempoels made the kick off in the second half. Boris Koppen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Corneel Gielens, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 60 minutes, Corneel Gielens made it 5-0 with a short kick to the right side. Ruddervoorde's Boris Koppen tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Boris Koppen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tim-Jan Van der Hoeven's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. After 67 minutes, Ryan Vleminx mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ruddervoorde and the KFC Herbuchenne players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 67th match minute, Ruddervoorde was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ryan Vleminx to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Tim-Jan Van der Hoeven managed to get in a good position for a shot. KFC Herbuchenne's supporters rose to their feet, but Tim-Jan Van der Hoeven was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post.
