Steffen Roockeloes was out of position in the 9 minute of play, and Elias Vissenaekers capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Elias Vissenaekers really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. The crowd rose to their feet as AFC Hoogdonk's Elias Vissenaekers slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Steffen Roockeloes. That made the score 3-0 after 18 minutes of play. Binjamin Libesoons struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Steffen Roockeloes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AFC Hoogdonk. Bruno De Baere received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Pieter-Jan Goethuys tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Diedrik Pastijns sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Steffen Roockeloes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elias Vissenaekers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 41st minute, Elias Vissenaekers ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Steffen Roockeloes was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Elias Vissenaekers to make the kick off. 55 minutes into the game, Yelle Van Craen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AFC Hoogdonk's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Haverzee the free kick. After 55 played minutes AFC Hoogdonk got a freekick which was hit by Yelle Van Craen. Binjamin Libesoons fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Steffen Roockeloes having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jan-Joost Van Clijnebreugel during the 61st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 61st minute, Jan-Joost Van Clijnebreugel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Elias Vissenaekers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Steffen Roockeloes having to interfere. Binjamin Libesoons recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Haverzee's zone, Elias Vissenaekers stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Steffen Roockeloes came out of the goal and Elias Vissenaekers tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Binjamin Libesoons blasted a shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Steffen Roockeloes having to make a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Elias Vissenaekers in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Steffen Roockeloes saved Haverzee from getting behind. If Elias Vissenaekers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Binjamin Libesoons sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Steffen Roockeloes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elias Vissenaekers in the 82nd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Elias Vissenaekers's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Steffen Roockeloes was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. Binjamin Libesoons sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 92 played minutes Haverzee got a freekick which was hit by Bruno De Baere. Haverzee's Steffen Roockeloes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elias Vissenaekers in the 97th minute of play. AFC Hoogdonk walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
