Andris Carpenter received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Evert Visch tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dany Van der Willeghem recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 43rd minute Henry Isebergh shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stefan Minnen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Andris Carpenter to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henry Isebergh in the 52nd minute of play forced KFC Orp-Jauche's goalkeeper Stefan Minnen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Andris Carpenter charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Andris Carpenter the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The audience was convinced that Dany Van der Willeghem's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Stefan Minnen was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. Stefan Minnen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dany Van der Willeghem's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. When Dany Van der Willeghem fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Groove Athletic's protests and gave Dany Van der Willeghem a yellow card for diving instead. Dany Van der Willeghem kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Waud Pieters kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. After 83 minutes, Henry Isebergh mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Groove Athletic and the KFC Orp-Jauche players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 83 played minutes Groove Athletic got a freekick which was hit by Henry Isebergh. Gilian Martin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Evert Visch made a huge save. In the 89th match minute, KFC Orp-Jauche was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joey De Keuster to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Henry Isebergh in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Stefan Minnen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 95th minute Henry Isebergh shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stefan Minnen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Groove Athletic were victorious despite being under pressure from KFC Orp-Jauche for much of the match.
