Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Oswald Van Caels took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 2nd minute, Yannik Vounckx got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yannik Vounckx in the 4th minute of play forced KV Wanzele's goalkeeper Bob Boegaert to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The FC PEUTIE fans' excitement grew in the 7th match minute when FC PEUTIE's Roel De Wyngaert looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Roel De Wyngaert blasted a shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bob Boegaert having to make a save. Roland Buyck took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oswald Van Caels, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bob Boegaert showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yannik Vounckx, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. In the 16th minute, Laurend Spoelbergh hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 22ndth minute of the game Roel De Wyngaert who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but KV Wanzele's Bob Boegaert was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Bob Boegaert took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roel De Wyngaert, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Yannik Vounckx recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. FC PEUTIE's Roland Buyck proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save FC PEUTIE from getting a goal against them. 32 minutes into the match, KV Wanzele's goal looked a bit too open when Yannik Vounckx came free, but Bob Boegaert reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 33 minutes into the match, Roel De Wyngaert had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bob Boegaert. KV Wanzele's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Roel De Wyngaert was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Roel De Wyngaert in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bob Boegaert prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Hans Tombeur took the ball and in the 47 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bob Boegaert. Bob Boegaert dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Roel De Wyngaert stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the game, Michel Verheijd cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Roland Buyck was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 57 minutes into the match, KV Wanzele's Oswald Van Caels sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Roland Buyck narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 60thth minute of the game Roel De Wyngaert who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but KV Wanzele's Bob Boegaert was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roel De Wyngaert in the 62nd minute of play forced KV Wanzele's goalkeeper Bob Boegaert to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Roel De Wyngaert's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Bob Boegaert firmly grabbed it by the left post. Laurend Spoelbergh made in the 68th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Conrad Kerckmans immediately put the ball in play. FC PEUTIE's Hans Tombeur managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Raf Haentjens in the 73 minute of the game. Yannik Vounckx could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Bob Boegaert made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in FC PEUTIE's zone, Oswald Van Caels stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roland Buyck came out of the goal and Oswald Van Caels tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 85 played minutes KV Wanzele got a freekick which was hit by Oswald Van Caels. Bob Boegaert showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roel De Wyngaert, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Bob Boegaert showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yannik Vounckx in the 89th minute of the match. In the 92nd minute, Andrew Van Beneden got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Roland Buyck showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Michel Verheijd, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. FC PEUTIE's Roland Buyck played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Michel Verheijd in the 97th minute of play. FC PEUTIE played a much better game than KV Wanzele and deserved their victory. The KV Wanzele players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
