Spectators: 8036 (Terracing: 6028, Seating: 1848, VIP seats: 160) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Dany Van der Willeghem started the match with the kick off. Evert Visch made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kristof Van Bael in the 5th minute of play. In the 6thth minute of the game Perry Turpin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Groove Athletic's Evert Visch was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Purple Talent's Enzo Van de Plas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Henry Isebergh in the 7th minute of play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 9th minute of the game. One of Groove Athletic:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Purple Talent:s goal. In the 24th match minute, Purple Talent was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kristof Van Bael to maneuver through the defense. After 31 played minutes Groove Athletic got a freekick which was hit by Kurt Dekeyser. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kristof Van Bael in the 47th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Evert Visch prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The Groove Athletic players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Purple Talent were winning 0-1.

The wind increased when Kristof Van Bael made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Dany Van der Willeghem notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Purple Talent's Enzo Van de Plas. Enzo Van de Plas was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 55th match minute, Groove Athletic was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kurt Dekeyser to maneuver through the defense. Purple Talent's Bass Helsens managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Kurt Dekeyser in the 64 minute of the game. Evert Visch came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by Purple Talent's Perry Turpin. But to his dismay, Perry Turpin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Enzo Van de Plas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Henry Isebergh, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kristof Van Bael in the 79th minute of play forced Groove Athletic's goalkeeper Evert Visch to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Enzo Van de Plas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dany Van der Willeghem went, in the 81st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henry Isebergh in the 85th minute of play forced Purple Talent's goalkeeper Enzo Van de Plas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
