Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Carlos Keldermans took the kick off in the first half of the match. After having played for 4 minutes, Claus Van Aertvin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cercle H&H's supporters crossed their fingers, but Claus Van Aertvin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some careless play in the De Rudies defense, Claus Van Aertvin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benny Wiggers. The De Rudies fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benny Wiggers should have stopped the shot. 11 minutes into the match, De Rudies's goal looked a bit too open when Claus Van Aertvin came free, but Benny Wiggers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cercle H&H's Kenneth Humbelets played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Remy Bekaert in the 14th minute of play. After having played for 17 minutes, Remy Bekaert managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. De Rudies's supporters crossed their fingers, but Remy Bekaert was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 18th match minute, Cercle H&H was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicolas Sens to maneuver through the defense. When Cercle H&H's Claus Van Aertvin in the 25th minute got a chance for a shot 25th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye De Rudies's goalie prevented a goal. When the match clock showed 27 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Carlos Keldermans sped through Cercle H&H's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Kenneth Humbelets. When Mark Meulemans fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored De Rudies's protests and gave Mark Meulemans a yellow card for diving instead. In the 30th minute, Mark Meulemans hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cercle H&H's Manuel Van de Velde couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 31st minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for De Rudies. Benny Wiggers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claus Van Aertvin, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Remy Bekaert managed to get in a good position for a shot. De Rudies's supporters rose to their feet, but Remy Bekaert was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kenneth Humbelets breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Carlos Keldermans sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 44th minute, Carlos Keldermans made a precise shot to the right of Kenneth Humbelets. Cercle H&H's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Claus Van Aertvin made a kick off. After a rather tough play, De Rudies's Aaron Kerselaers got a free kick in the 52nd minute. In the 53rd minute, Manuel Van de Velde sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and De Rudies's Benny Wiggers didn't even have to move. After 55 played minutes, Cercle H&H's Evert-Jan Reijckmans shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Benny Wiggers came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Cercle H&H reached it. Romain De Deygere fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benny Wiggers having to interfere. Claus Van Aertvin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 61 minutes into the game, Claus Van Aertvin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cercle H&H's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave De Rudies the free kick. Claus Van Aertvin hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Cercle H&H's Romain De Deygere got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Benny Wiggers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claus Van Aertvin in the 74th minute of the match. In the 75th minute Remy Bekaert shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kenneth Humbelets saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Romain De Deygere received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Benny Wiggers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Romain De Deygere sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Benny Wiggers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Romain De Deygere in the 83rd minute of play. If Claus Van Aertvin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Benny Wiggers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Romain De Deygere, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Remy Bekaert sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Remy Bekaert's late challenge caught a Cercle H&H's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Remy Bekaert helped the player get up and apologised. After 91 played minutes De Rudies got a freekick which was hit by Remy Bekaert. Romain De Deygere fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benny Wiggers having to interfere. The De Rudies supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing De Rudies would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
