In the 3rd minute of the match Philipp Hauwaerts shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bastiaan Sustens showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Valentin Mikaelsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bastiaan Sustens having to interfere. Valentin Mikaelsson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bastiaan Sustens having to make a save. 15 minutes into the match, VC Fl's goal looked a bit too open when Valentin Mikaelsson came free, but Bastiaan Sustens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Jos Van Mechelen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Albert Fabry sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Westkust's Magne Giliusson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Westkust from getting a goal against them. The supporters of VC Fl booed when Westkust was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabian Eftimescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind Westkust's goalkeeper Magne Giliusson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Fabian Eftimescu charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fabian Eftimescu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Fabian Eftimescu hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Valentin Mikaelsson in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bastiaan Sustens prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Westkust's Fabian Eftimescu got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 36 minutes into the match, Westkust's Gonzalo Jenaro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bastiaan Sustens narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Bastiaan Sustens stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Valentin Mikaelsson's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. Albert Fabry sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Valentin Mikaelsson might have been able to make a better finish in the 46th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bastiaan Sustens. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Valentin Mikaelsson ran back to his position shaking his head. Valentin Mikaelsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Valentin Mikaelsson to strike the kick off in the second half. Richmond Mesmaeckers's shot from long distance in the 58th minute was not bad at all, but VC Fl's Bastiaan Sustens knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. 59 minutes into the game, Valentin Mikaelsson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Bastiaan Sustens was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Westkust's Philipp Hauwaerts shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 65th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Bastiaan Sustens but with some difficulty. Bastiaan Sustens made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Valentin Mikaelsson sent off a good shot on target. Westkust's Valentin Mikaelsson got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Albert Fabry had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Valentin Mikaelsson kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Bastiaan Sustens. That made the score 0-2 in the 81 minute of play. Gonzalo Jenaro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Bastiaan Sustens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ronny Stuycken fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Magne Giliusson having to interfere. A collision led to Westkust getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Jos Van Mechelen hit a great ball. Bastiaan Sustens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Albert Fabry, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Westkust played a much better game than VC Fl and deserved their victory. The VC Fl players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
