The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ruud Van Den Eijnde during the 4th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 4th minute, Ruud Van Den Eijnde hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Valentin Mikaelsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Remy Bekaert blasted a shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Magne Giliusson having to make a save. After a rather tough play, De Rudies's Marten Scheerens got a free kick in the 8th minute. When Westkust's Valentin Mikaelsson in the 9th minute got a chance for a shot 9th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Valentin Mikaelsson in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benny Wiggers prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Benny Wiggers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albert Fabry, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. If Valentin Mikaelsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Valentin Mikaelsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benny Wiggers having to interfere. Westkust's Magne Giliusson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Remy Bekaert in the 37th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in De Rudies's zone, Valentin Mikaelsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benny Wiggers came out of the goal and Valentin Mikaelsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match had been going on for 45 minutes, Westkust's Valentin Mikaelsson got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Benny Wiggers. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Valentin Mikaelsson was the one to do the kick off. When Westkust's Valentin Mikaelsson in the 52nd minute got a chance for a shot 52nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Albert Fabry struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Benny Wiggers didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Westkust. Remy Bekaert received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Magne Giliusson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Valentin Mikaelsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benny Wiggers having to interfere. In the 87th minute, Remy Bekaert left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The De Rudies fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Benny Wiggers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gonzalo Jenaro, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute.
