After 30 minutes of play, Team in Construction's Guy Tijs made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bastiaan Sustens was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to VC Fl getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Giovanni Langendonckx hit a great ball. Guy Tijs received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Bastiaan Sustens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Guy Tijs made a kick off. Luke Spoelberghe lost his temper 56 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. Kenny Van Beersel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Giovanni Langendonckx, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bert Suteweij sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The VC Fl manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Team in Construction to win.
