Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Joop Van Den Broek took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 4th minute, Horacio Ontañon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sven Verhasselts short, quick shot in the 10thth minute got Erwin-Alexander Vrankx to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Horacio Ontañon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. FC Leghem's Fernand Dauwen suffered a sprained foot after 24 minutes and couldn't finish the game. A collision led to KB Les Mauves FC getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Tim-Jan Bogaerts hit a great ball. FC Leghem's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Loui Wynant in the 27th minute. A nice corner shot did that Loui Wynant got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Roel Eggermont quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. With a little luck, FC Leghem's Erwin-Alexander Vrankx got control of the ball when Sven Verhasselt tried to sneak it across the goal line. Erwin-Alexander Vrankx made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Horacio Ontañon in the 31st minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Kenny Lambrecht managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Leghem's supporters rose to their feet, but Kenny Lambrecht was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roel Eggermont breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Elias Van Caenegem during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, KB Les Mauves FC's Basiel De Maerschalckx got a free kick in the 40th minute. Roel Eggermont stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alfons Marrant's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. 45 minutes into the match, FC Leghem's goal looked a bit too open when Horacio Ontañon came free, but Erwin-Alexander Vrankx reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Horacio Ontañon in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Erwin-Alexander Vrankx prevented the ball from getting in the gole.

Alfons Marrant struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Roel Eggermont didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Leghem. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fabrice Gyselinckx got free with Roel Eggermont in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alfons Marrant recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Erwin-Alexander Vrankx showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tran Van Menen, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. After a rather tough play, FC Leghem's Andrez Bosbeeck got a free kick in the 75th minute. Hendrik-Jan Gillis came free in the 79th minute and tried to tip the ball over Roel Eggermont, but to the joy of KB Les Mauves FC's supporters the ball hit the crossbar and out. Erwin-Alexander Vrankx stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Horacio Ontañon's shot from short distance in the 80th minute. When the match had gone on for 82 minutes, Horacio Ontañon put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Erwin-Alexander Vrankx. In the 86th match minute, FC Leghem was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joop Van Den Broek to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Andrez Bosbeeck during the 88th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to FC Leghem getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Andrez Bosbeeck hit a great ball. Erwin-Alexander Vrankx showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Horacio Ontañon in the 92nd minute of the match. When Fabrice Gyselinckx fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Leghem's protests and gave Fabrice Gyselinckx a yellow card for diving instead. After 92 played minutes FC Leghem got a freekick which was hit by Fabrice Gyselinckx. The supporters of KB Les Mauves FC booed when FC Leghem was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Freddy Vandommele didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The KB Les Mauves FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while FC Leghem had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
